Wikimedia attribution

Counterpedia's Wikimedia substrate republishes a bounded set of observations derived from public Wikidata and Wikipedia data — titles, QIDs, labels, aliases, external identifiers, and typed statement edges — plus the provenance metadata Counterpedia itself generated while ingesting and joining that data. Counterpedia does not author, edit, or extend the underlying Wikidata/Wikipedia content; it observes, joins by exact title string, and republishes with its own provenance trail attached.

Wikidata content — CC0 1.0

Wikidata's structured data (entity statements, labels, aliases, and external-identifier claims) is released by the Wikidata community under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. CC0 places the data in the public domain and does not require attribution as a condition of reuse; Counterpedia credits Wikidata by name throughout this substrate as a matter of transparency about where an observation originated, not because CC0 requires it.

Wikipedia titles/links — CC BY-SA context

Counterpedia's Wikipedia usage in this substrate is narrow: page titles and page IDs only, used to compute an exact title-string match against a Wikidata sitelink title. No Wikipedia article prose, infobox content, or media is ingested, stored, or rendered anywhere in this substrate. Wikipedia's own article text is separately licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA); Counterpedia still attributes every matched title to Wikipedia by name.

See docs/WIKIMEDIA_ATTRIBUTION.md in the repository for the full attribution document this page renders. Neither document states or implies an identity ruling for any observed Wikidata/Wikipedia record.
